We just received the draft of the draw for the Open Dutch 2017. We are making this available for you to verify in which category / weight class you have been placed. If you spot a mistake, please report this to your coach asap and ask him/her to contact us via email. All coaches will also receive these documents via email. Again, we strongly urge you to verify every contestant as soon as possible so we can still make changes. Note that Tuesday the 24th is the last day we can still make changes. Yes it is the holiday season, but if you want to be prepared for the Open Dutch you better spend those hours training hard! I know we are. Here a quick promo video of Team Difesa getting ready for the tournament, this time the Junior/Senior group.

In the past couple of weeks Team Difesa has been getting ready for the Open Dutch, during their various training sessions this cool promo video was shot. They all look ready to us, are you?

We’ve had an overwhelming number of emails and requests about registration, many people and teams from outside of the Netherlands wanted to lock in their participation and as such the registration website for the Open Dutch has been opened up today. You can register, and request access to register, through the following page: http://www.itf-ors.com/. Make sure to enter all your details correctly! We will see you on the 29th of January.

In 2017 we are bringing back, after many requests, the ability for white and yellow belts to register for the competition. In order to lower the barrier for entering and to ensure every taekwon-doka will have a great experience even if they are new to tournaments we have created two different classes. For those who have not fully read the invite yet, here are the details of those two new classes:

C-class : Green tag – Blue tag (7th – 5th gup, point-stop sparring)
D-class : White belt – Yellow belt (10th – 8th gup, point-stop sparring)
